For most of my adult life, I worked. When I finished working, I worked more.
That's still how I operate...work is almost my Zen space some days.
But my kids started moving out of the house, and that's when you start looking back.
A fraternity brother of mine, Paul Holland, used to say that life is about creating memories. We lost him recently...and his birthday just passed, so he's been on my mind.
The best memories usually include friends and family.
They look like a table with too many people around it, a round of golf that ran long because nobody was in a hurry, or a Saturday at somebody's game.
Work will take everything you give it and ask for more.
So call a friend this week, or spend some time with a loved one.
